Glass Beads

Glass Beads are a spherical abrasive manufactured from chemically inert, lead-free, soda-lime glass with no free silica.
Key properties include high hardness, uniform spherical geometry, exceptional wear resistance, chemical stability, low impurity content, and eco-friendliness. Their spherical shape ensures even force distribution during surface treatment, minimizing substrate damage while enabling precise processing.
As a unique abrasive, glass beads are widely used in cleaning or metal surface strengthening processes, mainly in sandblasting equipment. The surface of the workpiece with residual tension or under periodic pressure is treated to generate a compressive stress layer to achieve the purpose of surface strengthening. Strengthening the workpiece surface with glass beads reduces potential hazards such as surface corrosion or surface fatigue. Additionally, they act as reinforcing fillers in composites to improve abrasion resistance and mechanical strength in polymers or coatings. Application

• Road Marking Glass Beads
Classification: Divided into drop-on type and mix-in type.Drop-on Type: Can be directly sprinkled onto the surface of unset road marking paint to form a reflective layer.
Mix-in Type: Needs to be pre-mixed with paint, with some beads exposed on the surface after construction to provide long-lasting reflectivity.
Function: Utilizing their reflective properties, they are embedded in road markings (such as lane lines and traffic signs) to significantly enhance road visibility at night or in low-light conditions, improving driving safety.

• Sandblasting Glass Beads
Application Scenarios: Mainly used for surface sandblasting of metals, glass, rubber, plastics, and acrylic materials.
