Product Description

White Fused Alumina

White Aluminum Oxide is fused from high-purity alumina powder in an electric arc furnace at very high temperatures. It has brilliant white color,
extraordinary hardness, and sharp edges; it is highly resistant to corrosion; and its chemical stability, high bulk density and low porosity give it extraordinary volume stability and thermal shock resistance. It can be produced in a wide array of sizes, from large grains to micro-powders, and is ideal for a wide range of abrasive and refractory applications.
 
Performance Advantages of WFA Refractories
1. Ultra-High Refractoriness: 
WFA has a melting point of up to 2050°C, allowing long-term use in extreme environments above 1800°C, outperforming brown fused alumina and sintered alumina.
2. Excellent Corrosion Resistance
WFA exhibits strong resistance to acidic/alkaline slags and molten metals, making it ideal for steelmaking and glass furnaces.
3. High Mechanical Strength

Application

1. High-Grade Refractory Bricks
WFA is a key raw material for manufacturing high-alumina bricks, corundum bricks, and chrome-corundum bricks. Due to its high purity and thermal resistance, WFA-based refractory bricks are widely used in furnaces for industries such as steel, cement, and glass, including blast furnaces, ladles, and rotary kilns.
