Product Description

White Fused Alumina

White Fused Alumina is made of industrial alumina powder, which is melted in an arc at a temperature of more than 2000 degrees and then cooled. It is crushed and shaped, magnetically separated to remove iron, and sieved into various particle sizes. It has a dense texture, high hardness, and sharp-angled particles. It is suitable for the manufacture of ceramics, resin-bonded abrasives, as well as grinding, polishing, sandblasting, precision casting, etc. It can also be used to manufacture advanced refractory materials.

Application

1. Precision grinding and polishing
Due to its high hardness and uniform particle size, white corundum micro powder is widely used in high-precision grinding and polishing of precision optical components (such as lenses, prisms), semiconductor wafers, precision metal parts, etc., and can achieve the stringent requirements of surface finish and dimensional accuracy.
2. Advanced ceramic and refractory additives
In the preparation of special ceramics or refractory materials, white corundum micro powder can be used as a reinforcing phase to improve the material's high temperature resistance, thermal shock resistance and mechanical strength, such as for the manufacture of high-temperature kiln linings, spacecraft insulation components or high-performance ceramic tools.
3. Surface treatment and functional coatings
Used for sandblasting (micron-level cleaning or roughening) of metal or composite surfaces, or as a raw material for thermal spray coatings, giving the substrate wear resistance, corrosion resistance and insulation properties, commonly used in industrial fields such as mechanical parts and turbine blades.
