Sodium Hexametaphosphate
Sodium hexametaphosphate, commonly known as Graham's salt, SHMP, sodium phosphate vitreous, and Graham's salt, is an inorganic compound in the form of a white crystalline powder with the chemical formula (NaPO3)6. It is non-toxic and harmless to the human body under correct use conditions and is used in many fields such as food additives, water treatment, detergents, ceramics, and pharmaceutical production. In particular, it plays the role of a quality improver, pH adjuster, metal ion chelator, adhesive, and expander in the food industry.

Application
Industrial Grade: It is used in oil fields, papermaking, textiles, printing and dyeing, petroleum, chemicals, leather, metallurgy, building materials, coatings, refractory materials and other industries as a water softener, buffer, flotation agent, dispersant, and high-temperature binder.
Food Grade: It is used as a quality improver, pH regulator, metal ion chelator, adhesive and expander. It can stabilize natural pigments and maintain color in beans, canned food, and bean paste fillings; it can emulsify fat in canned food to maintain uniform texture; it can improve water retention and prevent fat deterioration in canned meat and meat products. Adding it to beer can clarify the beer and prevent turbidity. It is an excellent water softener without precipitation. It plays a role in water retention, expansion and bleaching in aquatic product processing.
