Product Description

White Fused Alumina

White Aluminum Oxide is fused from high-purity alumina powder in an electric arc furnace at very high temperatures. It has brilliant white color, extraordinary hardness, and sharp edges; it is highly resistant to corrosion; and its chemical stability, high bulk density and low porosity give it extraordinary volume stability and thermal shock resistance. It can be produced in a wide array of sizes, from large grains to micro-powders, and is ideal for a wide range of abrasive and refractory applications.

Refractory Castables are amorphous refractory materials consisting of aggregate, fine powder, binding agent and additives, which are cast and molded by mixing with water and are widely used in the lining of high-temperature equipments in metallurgy, cement, petrochemical and other industries. White corundum (Al2O3≥99%) has become the core raw material of high-performance castables due to its ultra-high purity, high-temperature resistance (melting point of 2050℃) and excellent erosion resistance, especially in harsh working conditions (such as steel flushing, alkaline corrosion), it has irreplaceable.

Application

1. High-Grade Refractory Bricks
WFA is a key raw material for manufacturing high-alumina bricks, corundum bricks, and chrome-corundum bricks. Due to its high purity and thermal resistance, WFA-based refractory bricks are widely used in furnaces for industries such as steel, cement, and glass, including blast furnaces, ladles, and rotary kilns.
