Zirconia Alumina

Zirconia Alumina is an abrasive material produced by electro fusing zirconium and alumina raw materials in an electric arc furnace, and then by quenching, crushing and sieving the fused mineral into selected grain sizes. Zirconium Alumina has small crystal size and a unique microstructure, which give it excellent toughness, hardness, cutting capacity, and durability. Depending on the application, Zirconium Alumina is often far superior to brown fused alumina, silicon carbide and other traditional abrasive materials.

Application

1. Zirconium alumina has good resistance to melt erosion and can be used as a high-grade abrasive to make high-performance heavy-duty grinding wheels.

2. Zirconium alumina is a high-grade refractory raw material. It is an ideal material for making high-performance sliding nozzles and submerged nozzles, and can also be used to make Zirconium alumina bricks for glass furnaces.

3. It has good grinding effect on heat-resistant steel and various alloy materials.

4. Used for making bonded abrasives products,and process of grinding,sandblasting,surface treatment of metal products and other materials.

5. Used for making coated abrasives, such as sandpaper and sanding belt etc.
